We are going sailing. We have some events on a performance oriented racer, J/105. and other events aboard a J/80. Members come to learn about sailing and actively participate in sailing the vessel, or just relax out on Galveston Bay and turn off the cell phone. Everyone is welcome to join the group, come sailing and meet new friends. The J/105 (34') "Zippity" events will be 4-5 hour romps on the Bay going upwind and blasting back down with the spinnaker. The Clear Lake Sailing Club is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) educational organization operating near Houston Texas in the Clear Lake / Bay Area. Created in 1969, CLSC members generally sail dinghies (sailboats under 20 feet) on Clear Lake and in Galveston Bay. Sail la Vie is Houston's Premier Social Sailing Club. We are a non-profit organization. None of our Board of Directors, Skippers or any member of the club receives any monetary or other consideration from the fees and charges associated with operating the club.
